Jen's Graduation party & Mikey over [26 May 2001|09:41pm] [ mood | mellow ] Today I woke up at about 11:00 since I haven't had a full night sleep in a few days. Today is Jen Perretti's graduation party, it will be at the Grimm's house. At 12:30 PM I went up to Handy Pantry to get four bags of ice for the party, then put them in a cooler when I got back home. It was raining like crazy today, it was pouring while I was driving up to the store and the same coming back home, it was pouring really hard. When I left the house at 1:10 PM to leave for the Grimm's house, it started down pouring again. Every few minutes it would let up a little bit and then down pour again, of course as soon as I had to walk out the door it decided to do it's heavy down pour, and I had a cooler full of ice and my camera bag to carry to the car. Pain in the butt! So, I pulled the car up to the front door since our round driveway goes right past in front of the front door. I put the cooler and my camera bag into the car from there and then went straight to the Grimm's. As I pull up and park someone in the side of the street by the Grimm's house it was still down pouring, even harder now. The car was a hundred or more feet from the house since everyone else's cars were already parked there in front and I had to get out and carry a cooler. I just sat in the car for a few minutes and wait to see if the rain would let up a little bit. It did a tiny bit, so I got out, grabbed the cooler and my camera bag and headed straight to the house. The visit with everyone was nice, it was a lot of people from my church and all my close friends were there. Mikey was there as well, it was good to see him there, it's been a while since we hung out. I took a few videos and took quite a bit of pictures. After the party I took Mikey over my house to show him the new place and hang out. We watched the Tuscarora winter youth retreat from January 2000, he went with us that year and he hasn't seen the videos yet. We had a great time laughing at the videos and having fun watching them. He checked his email on my computer and we played around with the Internet for a few minutes, showing him my cable modem and my hookups and stuff. At just after 7:00 PM I drove him home, it was nice finally having him over, and we had been talking about doing that for a while. At 8:00 PM Dad ordered Italian dinners from Vetio's and I picked it up 25 minutes later. I had baked manicotti and mozzarella sticks, it was all very good. post comment
